It is an inescapable fact that our population on this Wirral Peninsular in overall numbers is declining, also we are living longer, and therefore the population is getting older.

This is not something to alarmed about, but those in authorities who shape our Housing Needs, Health Service Facilities, Social Services, Education, Transport and General Wellbeing must take this into context with regard’s to planning for the immediate and long term future.

The various organisations know this full well, what is not so clear is what part the older generation can play in this general planning operation.
(A very important and crucial part)

We members of the “Wirral Older Peoples Parliament” believe that the vast pool of experience and knowledge accumulated by those aged 50 years plus must be put to this valuable use for our own benefit.

We are seeking and succeeding to bring to bear some influence on the decision making processes, with our parliament representatives from all of the 22 wards through out the Wirral, after all we are the one who are and will be those most affected by whatever changes take place.

Here is a question for you; do you want to be a part of this? You can be of active support or just support in general, there is no cost to yourself, you have the opportunities to express your views, make suggestions, ask questions, seek solutions to situations or problems, all you need to do is join us.

Make contact, join with us, follow progress, make changes, the (Wirral OPP) your parliament is non political, open to all residents in Wirral regardless of religion, creed, class, denomination, or interest.

We would like people to become active in your own communities participate in your own committees, take an active role in the executive, who in turn report to the Parliament, and there is room for you to be influential about you and your loved ones to good effect.
